We know by now that I love LuLaRoe. After being one of the company’s biggest skeptics for ages, I’m now one of its biggest fans. I know, I know.
I own quite a few pieces of LuLaRoe. Although leggings are probably my favorite, I also have several shirts, dresses, and one lonely Cassie skirt. Although I wear all of my LuLaRoe, the Cassie skirt has probably seen the least usage of anything in my closet. Pencil skirts aren’t really in my repertoire.
After my other LuLaRoe posts started to take off, I found myself staring that Cassie face-to-face in my closet every morning. I was destined to write about it.
At first, I was thinking I’d write a post about why I love the LuLaRoe Cassie, the way I did with the Irma shirt and Julia dress. But why do I love the Cassie? I needed to get to know her better.
So here we are! Today, I’m sharing three ways to style a Cassie skirt. I had a lot of fun dreaming up these outfits.
Style one is my favorite! I paired the LuLaRoe Cassie pencil skirt with a slouchy statement sweatshirt, my yellow Stitchfix scarf, and a pair of brown booties. This was a casual look that’s perfect for brunch out on the town! (Here’s my Stitchfix affiliate link.)
The sweatshirt was on sale at Walmart for $5! When I saw it, I knew I had to have it. Seriously, I’m not me without my morning coffee.
A statement tee (or sweatshirt, in this case) is a great way to add some pop to an outfit without winding up with a battle of the patterns. It’s subtle enough to fit with the wildest patterns LuLaRoe can dream up, but it’s a little more fun than a plain tee shirt.
The second style I came up with is incredibly popular among LuLaLovers right now. I knotted a Carly dress over a Cassie skirt! There are tons of different ways that people knot their Carlys, but I decided to go with a flower knot that I saw on Pinterest.
I promise I’m not drunk, the sun was in my eyes for this picture! Anyway, for my first time trying a flower knot on Carly, I think I nailed it. What do you think?
I would have never thought to pair a Carly dress with a Cassie pencil skirt, so all the credit for this outfit goes to the LuLaRoe groups I’m in on Facebook (and of course, my dear friend Pinterest.) The Carly sizing is a little weird— basically, you take what size you normally wear in a dress and size down 2 or 3. Despite the sizing issues, Carly is probably my favorite dress, and this is a fun way to wear it.
I paired this with booties because I didn’t want to change, but I think this outfit would be cute with brown flats, too!
The third outfit is the most traditional of the three ways to wear a Cassie pencil skirt. I’ve tucked in a shirt, bloused it out a bit at the waist, and added a long cardigan. (The cardigan was another Walmart find; it was on sale for $12.)
Still wearing booties, but black flats or a pair of modest black heels would really complete this outfit.
Now that I’ve spent so much time in my Cassie, I’ve got a million more outfit ideas for it. The Cassie pencil skirt may be my new go-to piece of LuLaRoe! Okay, who am I kidding? I could never give up on my leggings like that.
So, that’s all the ways to wear a Cassie skirt that I have today. I may or may not have another post like this planned in the future….and it may or may not depend on convincing people to stand in the cold and take pictures of me posing like a dork.
Which Cassie skirt outfit idea is your favorite? How do you wear the Cassie skirt?
