Food. Fashion. Fainting. That’s me! Whether you think gluten-free is all the rage, or gluten free makes you rage, A Southern Celiac is here for you.
I write about traveling, living, loving, and parenting….all while dealing with Celiac Disease and other chronic illnesses. It’s not always pretty (I have a post that went viral about colonoscopies), but it’s always an adventure.
On the blog, you can find posts about travel and food, along with posts about chronic illness, parenting, and fashion. Expect to read about eating and shopping locally, the baby products you need to buy right now, and the best ways to wear LuLaRoe. On Fridays I host Chronic Coffee Chat, an interview series featuring other chronic illness bloggers you should know!
So, now you know what I do, but you don’t know who I am. Who am I? I’m glad you asked! Here’s some fast facts about the blog’s usual characters.
Me: I’m Brittany, a wife and mom living in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and dreaming of St. Louis. I love coffee, Little Free Libraries, and supporting small businesses. I hate cauliflower, my defective collagen, and not being able to eat wheat. If you ever see me in public, there’s a 75% chance that I will be wearing leggings and holding a cup of coffee. You’ll recognize me by the dark circles under my eyes.
Justin: My husband is a Spanish-English medical interpreter and freelance interpreter/translator. He loves fishing, beaches, and learning new languages. If you can’t find him, check the kitchen— he’ll either be whipping up something tasty or binging on donuts.
Critter: No, that’s not her real name. Critter is a strong-willed baby who loves Sofia the First and being worn in our Ergo Baby Carrier. She’s best friends with every animal she sees, and hates naps. She would win a speed-crawling competition if that were a real thing, and not something I just thought of.
